To remove:
1. Remove the oil fill cap (A).
2. Raise the engine cover (B) to release it from the retainers.
3. Lift and remove the engine cover.

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the right front wheel drive shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft
Replacement.
3. Remove the intermediate drive shaft mounting bolts from the
StabiliTrak® System
The vehicle has a traction control system that limits wheel spin, and the StabiliTrak
system that assists with directional control of the vehicle in difficult driving
conditions.
Both systems turn on automatically every time the vehicle is started.
